In the modern world, using the newest highly efficient technologies based on the latest scientific breakthroughs is a decisive condition for any industry to make progress (defense industry, space exploration, machine-building industry, health, electronic communications, and others). The decreasing profitability of metal mining at many ore mining enterprises that is related to depleting reserves of relatively rich ores and the necessity to mine increasingly deeper hard-to-reach horizons cannot go unnoticed at the above-mentioned background. Grows each year a shortage of new industrial sources of many competitive metals (especially Au, Pt, Pd, Ni and Cu) at most of developed ore deposit and placer fields and, primarily, in the areas located in the immediate vicinity of previously discovered ore deposits and operating mines.
Taking into account the said above, one of the most actual problems in mining industry today is to increasingly faster conduct in the specified above areas task-oriented surveys using newest methods and technologies that provide exceptionally high exploratory output. It is related to the fact that the conventional methods that have been applied by now are characterized with so low efficiency that they do not allow exploration to be successfully conducted within the limits of the most wide-spread categories of natural landscapes, namely, lowered levels of mountainous slopes, river valleys, all types of plains, vast territories of ice sheet and Eolian cover development, landslide slopes, boulder streams, waterlogged areas, and technogenic placer fields. The total percentage of such вЂњclosedвЂќ landscapes everywhere makes up the absolutely prevailing part of the territories: up to 70-85% in folded mountainous areas and up to 90- 100% in the other categories of landscapes.It is perfectly obvious that the fact results in the highest prospects for numerous fresh discoveries. For example, even in developed areas the calculated gold ore potential makes up from 80 to 92% of occurrences yet to be discovered (see Message from Author).

The bacterial geochemical method differs from others by especially high resolution capability. The method is based on using ascending membranous capillary diffusion of ions of oregenic metals that is accompanied by their intensive concentration on the bacterial barrier on the earth's daylight surface. Application of the method allows deep-earth searches to be successfully conducted even within the limits of the above-mentioned landscapes previously inaccessible to searching by conventional methods. Due to the methodвЂ™s ultrahigh sensitivity, it has become possible for the first time to conduct direct searches for placers of gold and platinoids lying at any depths, as well as trace and delineate kimberlite pipes (according to a complex of typomorphic highly Clark elements).
Rational technologies for geochemical exploration for specific areas form on the basis of using the new methods in accordance with the methodological principles that have been developed (see Technologies). They are oriented on a full search of specific areas horizontally and at required depths (hundreds of meters).
Finding a solution to so complicated a problem has become possible not only with the help of the above-mentioned scientific-and-consanguineous approach to developing new methods, but also using objects-indicators having several nanometers in size вЂ“ ions of metals, atoms and molecular compounds, bacteria, and micrometer particles of native metals and oregenic minerals.
